With the dark evenings closing in, we can’t help but cast our minds back to Lotus memories of the summer. And, while we mostly remember this year’s Goodwood Revival for the rain, you wouldn’t think that from this sunny footage of the Glover Trophy.
The field of Formula One cars from 1961 to 1966 features no shortage of Lotus single-seaters. This was the era when the Cheshunt cars were in their prime, with competition from BRM and Ferrari. And it was the Italian car that was giving Andy Middlehurst a run for his money and the laps counted down to the chequered flag.
No spoilers here. You’ll need to watch the race to find out whether the ex-Jim Clark Lotus 25 crossed the line first.
